| Mile End Road Mural in 2011 |
In 2011 Mychael Barratt was commissioned to paint a major piece of public art
in the Olympics Borough of Tower Hamlets. He painted an 8 x 10 metre mural on
the side of a building on the Mile End Road, London E1. In a style reminiscent of
his Life Imitating Art etchings he created a vista depicting important buildings from
the Mile End and Whitechapel Roads and peopled the scene with famous and
notable historical figures that have some connection with the area. |
